The Tucson Jazz Institute presents jazz education and showcases Friday through Sunday, March 4 through 6. Kim Richmond performs with the ASU Jazz Combo, following a performance by the TJI Ellington Band at 7 p.m., Friday, March 4. $10. Middle and high school bands perform, and instruction and jam sessions take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 5. $10. The top-rated high school band at the festival and the TJI Ellington Band perform at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 5. $15. $20 for March 5 day and evening pass.
