Tucson Bird and Wildlife Festival 

When: Aug. 14-18 2013
Daily field trips, lectures, workshops and social activities attract birders from around the world to see, hear and learn about the wide diversity of birds and bats that make Southern Arizona their home, from Wednesday through Sunday, Aug. 14 through 18; $15 initial registration fee, plus á la carte activities at various prices. A Nature Expo including natural history programs and live animals is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Aug. 16 and 17; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 18; free.
