Tips for Crawlers

How do I get into Club Crawl®—and how do I avoid lines?

There are two main entrances into Club Crawl®. The east entrance is at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Congress Street, and the west entrance is at Sixth Avenue and Congress Street. Our last three Club Crawl® events have been our biggest ever, so to keep up with demand, we have made both the east and west entrances twice the size to accommodate crowds. We still advise folks to show up early and beat the rush.

How do I get a VIP pass? What does one do for me?

VIP passes can be purchased for $20 in advance, or $25 at the door. There are a limited number available, so we recommend you go to either Zia location to purchase one before they run out. VIP pass-holders will have their own lanes at both entrances. The VIP pass will also get you to the front of the line at all of the venues.

What if it rains?

Come on down anyway! While the schedules of some of the outdoor stages could be affected, all of the indoor stages' schedules will go on!

How will the street closure affect traffic coming to Club Crawl®?

We close down Congress Street at noon on Saturday to set up our outdoor stages. We then turn Broadway Boulevard into a two-way street from Fourth Avenue to Sixth Avenue. Regular westbound traffic on Congress Street will resume at Sixth. We highly recommend entering downtown either from the north via Stone Avenue, or from the south via Sixth Avenue.

Where should I park?

The closest parking area is the brand-new garage just east of the Rialto Theatre. On Club Crawl® night, this garage will only be accessible from westbound Broadway; you will turn right just after the southbound Toole exit. Parking is $5, and you can park all night.

The next-best close option sits one block away, at the corner of Pennington Street and Sixth Avenue. The best way to access this garage is to head south on Stone Avenue, turn left on Pennington, and then travel east to the Scott Street entrance; or head north on Sixth Avenue to Pennington, and then enter. There are 750 parking spots here, and the price is only $3 for the entire night.

There are also 1,000 on-street parking-meter spaces near Club Crawl® that are free on weekends. The La Placita Garage, at Church Avenue and Jackson Street (one block south of Broadway), has an additional 500 spaces. With four other large parking garages nearby, the total number of spaces downtown totals well more than 14,000.
