Tasting History, Planting for Our Future

Heirloom plants grown in the Tucson region in the 17th and early 18th centuries are now being raised in the Mission Gardens, a reconstruction of the Spanish Colonial-era mission garden at the foot of the eastern face of "A" Mountain. Representatives of that project discuss how these plants have been maintained, and how Tucsonans can integrate them into home landscapes for food production, at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8; free. Call 629-0510, ext. 7011, for more information.
