Stuff Worth Knowing

Some things you should know about ...

· It seems a lot of folks around town are excited about Best of Tucson™ 19, if the number of calls and letters I've been getting is any indication. Well, folks, the wait is almost over: It hits the streets next week! And, please, do not bother calling or e-mailing to ask for the results early; they're considered top-secret information until the issue's release. Nobody but the folks who work on the issue are allowed to know before the issue's release. So, there.

· Our annual fall Club Crawl™ (do we love those ™ things or what?!) is just around the corner, too, on Saturday, Oct. 8. If you haven't gotten your wristband yet at CD City--which, while supplies last, includes an amazing CD of local music which by itself is worth the $8 advance price--then you're not that bright.

· We won some more awards. Virtually every newspaper in the state can say that--the folks at the Arizona Newspapers Association are quite generous with their annual accolades--but we can honestly say that we did better than most. Check out the details in this section. Congratulations to all of our winners--and all of the other winners (all 25,774 of you), as well.
