Docent Jean Baxter discusses the history of the Tucson presidio, its role in the mission system and its residents' daily lives, at noon and 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 11. Reservations are required, but must be made no earlier than one week in advance; call between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; or from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday.
