Sabino Canyon Hikes and Walks 

Naturalist Sharon Arkin leads a leisurely 3-mile walk through Sabino Canyon from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., every second and fourth Saturday. Bring water and binoculars, and wear comfortable shoes. Ned Harris guides a 3-hour walk over moderately difficult trails to identify native plants and animals in the canyon, and to share photography tips, promptly at 8:30 a.m., every Wednesday, through April 23. Bruce Garrett leads a three-and-a-half-hour Gneiss (geology) walk from the Visitors Center over moderately difficult trails to discuss the geology of Sabino Canyon, at 8:30 a.m., every Thursday through April 24. All activities are led by Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists; free with $5 daily or $20 annual admission to the park. Reservations are advised. Call or visit scvntucson.org for more information.
