Q&A with Sarah Keel

Sarah Keel was born in India and raised in Mesa. An elementary education senior at the UA, Keel is also a member of the UATV staff. A Southern California fan, she laughingly describes herself: "I'm a single, Indian female with brown eyes and black hair who enjoys long walks on the beach and is looking for a good time."

What's the best movie of all time?

My favorite movie is Disney's Sleeping Beauty. ... My favorite stupid/funny movie would have to be Zoolander. My best friend and I love that movie. Ben Stiller is just too much.

What movie makes you think most of Tucson?

The Missing with Tommy Lee Jones and Cate Blanchett. There are just so many scenes when they are in the desert that remind me of Tucson, especially if you get out in the desert around the Gates Pass area. My mom and I were trying to figure out if they really did shoot in Tucson.

Who's your favorite movie personality?

I'm definitely a fan of Ben Stiller. He's just so laid-back and willing to do almost anything. I like humor. I also like Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson (but he lost some points for The Passion of the Christ thing) and Julia Roberts. I really like M. Night Shyamalan's movies.

What's your favorite movie snack?

This one's easy: popcorn with butter at the theater, or ice cream if I'm at home.

Any embarrassing cinematic experiences in your life?

Geez, no. I did see something embarrassing for someone else, though. I went to see Terminator 3 with my uncle, and during the beginning of the movie, we hear this crash, like glass. ... After the movie ... I watch as the guy picks up a flask and puts it in his back pocket; not obvious at all!

Best locally-owned place to get women's fashions?

I think it's called Creations. The corner of Fourth Avenue and Sixth Street. They have some really cute skirts and some interesting fashions. Very cool, and a nice change from the trendy stuff.

Best desserts?

The Chocolate Iguana on Fourth Avenue is awesome. That whole store is so neat. It's like a candy store, but they have cards and dishes and random stuff.

Best late-night eats?

When I'm back home in Phoenix, In N' Out Burger is the best. But here, I don't know. We usually end up at Taco Bell or Nico's Tacos. Wow, that made me seem really gross. But hey, there's nothing wrong with a cheese and bean burrito late at night!

Best coffee shop?

I love Bentley's. I love the mocha shake! And they have poetry nights and display local artwork.
