On Saturday, Sept. 3, visit Oracle State Park from 8 to 10:30 a.m., as they invite the Tucson community to learn about the prickly pear, a fruit locally grown in Tucson. The class will be taught by Tucson forager John Slattery. In this class, Slattery will not only teach how to use a prickly pear while cooking, he will also address the fruit's healing qualities. For more information, go to the event's Facebook page.
