The easiest drug bust ever; Tough times at Burger King

Police Dispatch

NO MORE MR. ICE GUY

NORTH SHANNON ROAD

NOV. 2, 10:55 A.M.

A man gave up his drugs after mishearing a request from deputies, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.

Deputies were sent to the parking lot of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Road, in response to a call about a man wearing a black motorcycle helmet who was behaving oddly.

When asked what he was doing, the man started to babble, sometimes answering a question logically, and at other times uttering random words—all while he continued to wear the helmet.

One deputy, apparently concerned the man was on drugs, said to him, "Let me see your eyes." The man then pulled a sock from a pants pocket and asked, "You want my ice?"

"What is that?" the deputy inquired.

"It is my ice," the man replied.

Inside the sock was a plastic bag evidently containing methamphetamine. Apparently, when the deputy told the man he wanted to "see your eyes," the man heard ice instead, perhaps because the helmet impaired his hearing.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs.

FAMILY MAN

EAST AJO WAY

NOV. 5, 9 P.M.

A drunken man threatened a woman and her children while they were eating at a fast-food restaurant, a PCSD report stated.

Deputies were called to a southeast-side Burger King, where a woman told them she and her family had been harassed for no reason by a strange man with a knife attached to his belt. The woman said she told the man multiple times to leave them alone, but he refused. The report said that at one point, the man threatened to "kick her ass as well as her children's asses."

One of her children recalled the man saying he would "kick his ass for being a bad kid."

The Burger King manager confirmed that the man had been harassing the family, adding that the man was apparently extremely intoxicated. The manager said that when she told him to leave, he said, "Fuck you, you fucking bitch." He also allegedly spit a mouthful of food on her.

Deputies located the man and held him at gunpoint while he screamed at them. He reportedly reeked of liquor, slurred his words and stumbled as he walked.

The man was arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of disorderly conduct, as well as threats and intimidation, plus one count of assault. When he arrived at the jail, he again started to yell and swear at deputies and "gave (them) ... the middle finger on several occasions," the report said.
