A man said a woman he paid to have sex with stole his car and thousands of dollars in cash and checks while he was in the bathroom, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report said.
The 52-year-old man from Nogales told a deputy he met the woman at the Desert Diamond Casino and struck the deal for sex. The pair got a room at a Red Roof Inn, and the man went into the bathroom to make a phone call, he said.
When he came out, he reportedly found that the woman and his clothes were gone.
The man said there was a Wells Fargo debit card in his vehicle, along with a $7,000 cashier's check, a Minolta camcorder, various real-estate files and other checks totaling $600.
Deputies advised the man to contact friends to see if someone could pick him up. They also told him to cancel any checks or money orders the woman may try to cash. The report said he was in the process of doing so when deputies left.

According to a report from the University of Arizona Police Department, a UA financial aid employee phoned authorities after a student asked who he would have to kill to get his aid processed faster.
The student told a police officer that he made the remark as a joke. He said that he wanted his aid application processed before the start of school on Aug. 22 and was upset about a perceived hold-up.
A supervisor took the student into her office after he made the statement to inform him about the university's policy on threats, the report stated.
She said she called police because he allegedly became belligerent and called her a "fascist." The student countered that he had merely said "the university had fascist policies."
The supervisor asked that the student not return until Monday. Police escorted him out of the building.
