Missing Mannequin

West Orange Grove Road and North Oracle Road, June 18, 11:19 a.m.

Deputies retrieved a decapitated dummy that had been stolen from in front of a woman's apartment, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report said.

The woman showed deputies a photograph of the dummy, which had adorned her entryway for about two years.

The report said there had been an earlier call about someone allegedly being shot, and that the dummy was found when deputies responded to that call. It was not clear if the dummy was the suspected shooting victim, or if its discovery was coincidental.

Deputies returned the stolen item--which was missing its shoes and head--to the woman.

A Shocking Experience

UA Area, June 23, 11:36 a.m.

According to a UA Police Department report, a woman alleged that a man from the UA's Parking and Transportation Services used a stun gun on her when she walked by his table at a café.

The woman claimed she felt a shock on her back, turned around and saw two men wearing PTS uniforms laughing at a table at the Bookend Café, near the UA Library.

She said she confronted the men, both of whom denied having a stun gun.

According to her, it was the second time she had been attacked with a stun gun at the library, but she couldn't provide witnesses for either incident.

She said she had marks on her back from the most recent attack. None were visible when she lifted her shirt for an officer to see them, the report said.

An officer ran a check on the woman, which came back with an outstanding warrant from the Pima County Sheriff's Department for contempt of court.

Bullseye

West River Road and North La Cholla Boulevard June 15, 8:27 a.m.

A woman found that an arrow had been shot through one of her home's plate-glass windows in the middle of the night, a PCSD report stated.

The woman assumed the arrow belonged to her neighbor's son, as she had picked up similar ones from her yard and returned them to him.

Deputies contacted the boy's father, who agreed to pay for a new window.
