Child Porn

University Area, May 3, 6:10 p.m.

According to a University of Arizona Police Department report, somebody used a doctorate employee's e-mail account to send child pornography to a California man.

The Californian called UA police after he opened the e-mail and clicked on links that opened lascivious pictures of children. Police tracked the IP address of the computer that sent the photos and learned that they were sent from a business situated in Australia.

Officers have not been able to speak to the man who owns the UA e-mail account, but plan on informing him that there have been illegal photos sent from his account.

Police made a copy of the e-mail and may use it as evidence if any charges are pressed.

Magic Mushroom Madness

West Orange Grove Road and North Shannon Drive, April 22, 10:28 a.m.

Deputies cited a Tucson teen after he allegedly admitted getting scared and having a bad trip after smoking marijuana and taking psychedelic mushrooms, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.

The teen said that he didn't have any more mushrooms, but had a little pot inside his bedroom dresser. Police found three joints; they then arrested and released him on suspicion of marijuana possession, the report stated.

An ambulance crew arrived at the scene and treated the teen.

The teen's mother came to the house and said that she would take him to the hospital if he needed more medical attention. According to deputies' reports, the teen was alert and fine when they left.

Deputies confiscated the marijuana and placed it into evidence.

Having Your Cake and Smearing It Too

South Nogales Highway and East Hughes Access Road, April 19, 6:57 p.m.

A Tucson mother got into a fight with an acquaintance at a children's birthday party after she engaged in a food fight, a PCSD report stated.

The mother told deputies that several of the parents began smearing cake and frosting on each other's faces, and that she did the same, smearing frosting on a woman and her sister, who were dancing.

The woman chased the mother outside the trailer, grabbed her by the hair and tackled her.

The mother said she got into her vehicle and left the party because she didn't want to continue the fight in front of all the children.

Deputies plan on calling the other woman involved and investigating the incident.
