Caffeine Caper

North Oracle Road and West Ina Road, Aug. 26, 6:20 p.m.

A Starbucks manager followed a customer out of the store after she noticed the customer was trying to walk out with an espresso machine, a Pima County Sheriff's report stated.

The manager of the Starbucks, 7151 N. Oracle Road, told Deputy Diane Yanneck that a man and a woman entered the store together. When the woman purchased some items at the counter, the man ran out the door carrying an espresso machine.

When the manager followed the man outside, the man set the espresso machine on the ground and ran away.

The woman told the manager that she didn't know the man, but later, the manager saw the woman drive by the man and pick him up, the report stated.

The manager told deputy Yanneck the machine is worth $400 and was not damaged.

The man and woman reportedly drove away in a Lexus.


Dorm Cleaner or Home Wrecker?

University Area, Sept. 5, 11 a.m.

According to a University of Arizona Police Department report, a custodial manager told police that someone wrote him a threatening letter, stating one of his employees was committing adultery, reports stated.

The custodial manager told police the author of the letter identified herself as "the wife," but gave no return address. "The wife" stated that the manager was employing a woman who was having an affair with "the wife's" husband.

In the letter, "the wife" threatened to go to the residence hall where the alleged adulteress worked and give her what she deserved, the report stated.

Officers took the letter and entered it into evidence.


Neighborly Trouble

West Bopp Road and South Aldon Road, Aug. 28, 8:04 p.m.

A Tucson man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened to kill a sheriff's deputy and called other deputies "mother fuckers," a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.

Deputy Martin Walker arrested Jason M. Rohman after neighbors called and said Rohman was drunk and was harassing them.

One neighbor told deputies that she was having a conversation outside with another neighbor when Rohman walked over and began calling them names. One neighbor said she heard someone pounding on the side of her house, and when she looked out the window, she saw Rohman walking away, the report stated.

Deputies had a hard time understanding Rohman when they questioned him, and they believe he was drunk, the report stated.

While in the police car, Rohman allegedly began kicking and banging his head against the interior of the car.

He repeatedly cursed at the deputies and threatened to "fucking kill" one deputy when he was being taken to jail.

Rohman was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and taken to Pima County Jail. Deputies did not include Rohman's age in the report released to the media.
