"How do you like that, motherfucker?"

TRAILER CRASH

GREEN VALLEY

AUG. 6, 10:42 P.M.

A wasted driver crashed into a trailer, flipped off the law and screamed for hours, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.

Deputies were called by the tenants of a trailer and a house on property they shared with the drunken woman, whom deputies located sitting shoeless in her own driveway, next to a pickup truck with a trash can in the cab that held ice and beer.

Both the truck's rear and front windows were shattered, allegedly because the woman's live-in boyfriend had gotten mad at her and thrown a hammer through the glass while she was in the cab and he was in the truck's bed. Witnesses said she'd had a major argument with the boyfriend and had threatened to shoot him.

After deputies repeatedly commanded the woman to put up her hands, she finally did—but she also extended both middle fingers and shouted obscenities as the deputies handcuffed her.

One deputy said she was "on an emotional rollercoaster," yelling one moment, then relaxing, then getting mad again.

A witness said the woman had been "screaming and hollering" in the area for several hours before the deputies arrived. Another witness said the woman had been "hauling butt" in her large truck and had backed it into a neighbor's trailer.

The trailer's elderly female tenant said the woman—normally "a nice person" had "been going off all afternoon." According to the tenant, the woman had actually backed her truck into the trailer twice. The second time she allegedly threw a piece of glass through the tenant's open window and said, "How do you like that, motherfucker?"

The woman denied that she had been driving under the influence but a breath test showed that her blood-alcohol level was 0.117 percent. She also denied backing into the trailer and calling the trailer's tenant a "motherfucker," saying she'd been referring to her electricity bill. After apprehending the woman, deputies met with the boyfriend at their home. He also appeared to be intoxicated, and casually held a can of beer while being interviewed. The boyfriend admitted that he had thrown a hammer through the truck window, but he said he threw it only because he was trying to get the woman's attention and she couldn't hear him from inside the cab. He said he didn't think the hammer would actually go through the window.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, drunken driving and disorderly conduct.
