A teenage girl who was supposed to be having a sleepover with friends was instead found drunk in her room with three young men, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.
The girl's father said he saw a light on in his daughter's room; he entered to find her and a friend with three males about 18 years old, who then tore down a curtain rod, bent it, pried open the window and jumped outside. The father chased the men down the street until they left the neighborhood.
Deputies reported that the daughter had watery, bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. Her speech was slurred, and she had difficulty standing still, relying on the wall and door for support.
The daughter's friend, who reportedly couldn't walk without assistance, said the daughter had a bottle of Captain Morgan rum in her closet, which she'd gotten from her parents' liquor cabinet. Once the adults were in bed, the friend said, the girls started drinking. Three boys came over, and they all started to "play games" together.
After concluding her statement, the daughter's friend vomited in the road. The daughter was arrested as a minor in possession and for consuming spirituous liquor; the friend was cited and released.
Just Pay It!
North Oracle Road, Aug. 15, 9:37 p.m.
A volatile and intoxicated man racked up a hefty bar tab and refused to pay, a PCSD report said.
Police made contact with the man, who could hardly stand, inside Benihana, 6091 N. Oracle Road. The man repeatedly refused to answer questions regarding his bill and was handcuffed with difficulty, at which point he began to insist that he had paid, asking, "Why would I not pay my bill? I have $3,000 in my pocket."
Deputies counted his money and noted that he actually had $603. However, the man's bill showed that he drank 10 Jägermeister shots, one shot of rum and one Coors Light. He owed $70.29 (including tax, excluding tip).
Cute or Creepy?

A name plate outside Room 411 in McClelland Hall, 1130 E. Helen St., was missing for nine months--and reappeared unexpectedly in an odd condition, a UA Police Department report said.
The name plate, whose Thanksgiving 2006 theft had never been reported, miraculously reappeared in its former location at 7 a.m. on Aug. 30, covered in stickers and glued-on plastic toys. The person who reported the crime, who worked in the building, stated she thought the act was "random" and "creepy."
