Papers, Please: Theorizing Border Discourses After Arizona SB1070 and HB2281
A symposium about controversial wording in recent laws related to concepts like "border," "illegal immigration," "nationality," "identity" and "English," and the kind of experiences people have with laws based on them, takes place from 8:30 to 4:15 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13; free. Former TUSD ethnic studies teacher Curtis Acosta is the plenary speaker.
