A traditional Waila band plays chicken scratch music for dancing at a benefit that also includes a no-host bar, a dinner of border dishes, and a silent auction, starting at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 27; $60, $100 for two. Awards are presented to community activist Mike Wilson, and arts educators Rebeca Maria Cartes, Kathryn Ferguson-Peralta, Francisca James Hernandez, Michael Hyatt, Ed and Debbi McCullough and Pancho Medina.
