New: Bunz
If you find yourself hungry on Fourth Avenue, consider stopping by the food truck Bunz for a bite. The truck parks next to Creative Ventures Craft Mall, 522 N. Fourth Ave., from about 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, which has made it a hit with late-night revelers. Owner Peter Raskob, former owner of the now-defunct Café by Peter at 4784 E. Sunrise Road, sells cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, grilled-cheese sandwiches, chili dogs, bowls of Fritos smothered in chili, and an assortment of chips and drinks. Prices top out around $6; 336-5049.
New: Cosmo's Espresso Coffee and Tea
Cosmo's Espresso Coffee and Tea has opened at 5775 E. Broadway Blvd. Owner James "Cosmo" Cramer uses a special blend of coffee called "Astro," made by Raging Sage Coffee Roasters, and tea sourced from Two Leaves and a Bud. There are tamales from Tucson Tamale Company, cupcakes and other things by Sahuarita-based Bite Me, bagels and more. Cramer is running a special featuring a cup of coffee for 99 cents. Kick in another buck, and he'll throw in a bagel and cream cheese. The place is chiefly a drive-through outfit, but there's a small walk-up area with a few chairs; 207-9943.
Name Change
Pizzeria Vivace will soon be known as Scordato Pizzeria. The manager of the restaurant, at 4280 N. Campbell Ave., tells us the change is an effort by owner Daniel Scordato to distinguish the eatery from nearby Vivace, which Scordato also owns. The manager said visitors have been asking if the restaurants are spinoffs of Gusto Osteria and Guiseppe's, which use recipes from Joe Scordato, Daniel's brother. The menu at Scordato Pizzeria will be largely the same, although there may be a few new items when the name changes.
Now Open: Agustin Brasserie
Agustín Brasserie opened last week in the Mercado San Agustín, at 100 S. Avenida del Convento. The restaurant offers a large array of seafood dishes as well as burgers, roasted chicken and steaks.
