Noshing Around

Lindy's at Redline Sports Grill

The owners of Lindy's on Fourth are opening another location in the old Pearl nightclub spot on the corner of Wetmore and Oracle roads. Lindy's at Redline Sports Grill will serve burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches—all done in the delicious and sometimes outrageous Lindy's style—and will have a patio area with flat-screen televisions. We also hear the patio will feature a grill built into the body of a car. The eatery will take up half of the 10,000-square-foot space; the other half will house RPM Nightclub. The new Lindy's will keep regular hours during the week, with extended hours until 2 or 3 a.m. on weekends. It's expected to open in a few months.

Flight Grill

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a new restaurant where you have a tableside view of military aircraft soaring into the air! The new Flight Grill at the Pima Air and Space Museum (6000 E. Valencia Road) seats about 200 and serves brick-fired pizza, sandwiches, salads, coffee drinks, desserts, beer and wine from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily. The patio faces a runway where military planes take off from Davis-Monthan Air Force base. You enter the restaurant through the museum, but a free pass is available for those who want restaurant service only.

Cooking With Janos

Want to knock this Valentine's Day dinner out of the park? Consider Janos Wilder's Valentine's Day-themed cooking class at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12. A discussion and tasting of champagne cocktails with Desiree Rios, the sommelier at Janos, is included. It's $50 per person, and reservations are required; 615-6100.

Anti-Valentine's Tasting

Aaron DeFeo, the mad scientist of Tucson cocktailing and the head of the beverage programs at Maynards Market and Kitchen and Hotel Congress, is up to his old tricks again. This time, he's offering a tasting featuring three original cocktails purported to dull the memories of misadventures of the heart. The tasting, humorously titled "I Love You, but I've Chosen Cocktails: An Anti-Valentine's Tasting," takes place at Hotel Congress (311 E. Congress St.) from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12. Tickets are $15, which includes discounts for future tastings; 622-8848; www.hotelcongress.com.
