Buzzalini Moves to Maynards

Maynards Market and Kitchen, at 400 N. Toole Ave., has brought on Addam Buzzalini as the new executive chef; the menu will be reworked to reflect his culinary philosophies, said Richard Oseran, co-owner of the restaurant and Hotel Congress. Buzzalini, the former chef of jaxKitchen, will eventually head up The Cup Café inside Hotel Congress as well. "You could put it like this: I live downtown, and there's a need for something unique and spectacular down here," Buzzalini said. "So we're definitely going to kick it up a bit."

That's Amore!

Things are cooking in Marana, with two new restaurants open in Dove Mountain Centre at 12130 N. Dove Mountain Blvd.: Aric and Josh Mussman, owners of Vero Amore at 3305 N. Swan Road, have opened a second location at the shopping center. Vero Amore serves Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas, and the new location will soon add a handful of new entrées and appetizers to its menu with the help of Scott Brayer, the founder and former owner of Pasta Palmita. Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday; and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday; 579-2292. VinTabla now has a sister restaurant in Dove Mountain Centre called Dove Mountain Grill, open at 3 p.m., nightly; 579-8999.

The Tudor Rose British Tea Room has closed at 2029 S. Craycroft Road, according to a message on the restaurant's voicemail. The message says that a search for a new location is underway.
