New: Grimaldi's Pizzeria

The menu claims to be world-famous, but you'll have to be the judge of that. Independently owned with other franchise locations in Arizona, Las Vegas and Dallas, this is Tucson's first location. Grimaldi's uses a coal brick oven at 446 N. Campbell Ave., Suite 100 (formerly LaFerlita's Pizza); 882-6100; open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight. View the menu online.

Whole Foods

The Wild Oats exterior signage at 3360 E. Speedway Blvd. still prevails, but the store is now really a Whole Foods. The gourmet takeout section has been greatly expanded to include some yummy items. It's not until the entire store is certified organic that the actual name change will happen. According to an employee, that should happen in a few months.

Valentine's Day Dining

Chef Bob Petersen at Cuvée World Bistro prepares a four-course prix-fixe menu with options for $75 per person without wine, or $85 per person with wine pairings. Students or military members (with identification) get a 10 percent discount. As an added gesture, Cuvee will give a half-dozen roses to every couple at 3352 E. Speedway Blvd.; 881-7577.

At HiFalutin, share a cheese crisp, two entrees, and soup or salad for $42.95 per couple at 6780 N. Oracle Road; 297-0518.

Get in the mood with a very special five-course shared Valentine's dinner for two for $100 per couple including champagne at Lodge on the Desert, 306 N. Alvernon Way; 325-3366.

Get your honey a large, three-item, heart-shaped pizza at Grandma Tony's Pizza and Wings from Feb. 8-14, for $14.95. Visit grandmatonyspizza.com for a list of locations and phone numbers so you can preorder.
