Resort Summer Dining Deals

The Hilton El Conquistador Resort offers two dining deals--if you eat between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Dos Locos, a new Latino restaurant, offers a salad, a choice of three entrées, dessert and a glass of wine for $18; 544-1705. The Last Territory Steakhouse has a three-course dinner with wine for $20; 544-1738. It all happens at 10000 N. Oracle Road in Oro Valley.


Nicky's Week

RA Sushi's third national fundraiser, including 13 of the company's restaurants, raised more than $102,000 with its program called Nicky's Week. RA donated 100 percent of the proceeds during the week of May 27 from the sale of tootsie maki, edamame, pork gyoza, Fiji water, Red Bull, Republic of Tea and selected beverages to benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Primavera Still Cooks

The last of the 2007 Primavera Cooks fundraisers happens on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at Pastiche; Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Cup Café; Wednesday, Sept. 5, at El Charro at the Stillwell House (134 S. Fifth Ave.); and Sunday, Sept. 16, at Kingfisher. Diners pay $125 (70 percent tax-deductible) for a multi-course meal paired with wines. Money gets donated to Primavera Foundation, which serves people in need of housing, employment and resources. Reservations can be made by calling David at 623-5111, ext. 101.


Milking It: Contest for Kids

Arizona-owned Shamrock Farms is looking for 15 lucky 6- to 12-year-olds to be on their consumer flavor panel to help determine and taste new milk flavors. Winners will receive a red-carpet tour, a milk-mustache photo shoot, merchandise and more. Apply online.


In Good Company

Three restaurants have joined Tucson Originals, the local coalition of independent restaurants that are making a difference in the community. The restaurants include Enoteca Pizzeria and Wine Bar, 623-0744; Frankie's Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 795-2665; and Rio Café, 323-5003.
