New: Crave Espresso Bar

Crave recently opened at 4530 E. Broadway Blvd. Since it's near my neighborhood, I peeked inside and delighted in the colorful urban/retro vibe. Crave also makes a small selection of desserts daily. The scones are fluffy, not hockey pucks; 325-3637.

Passover Dining

On Monday, April 2, and Tuesday, April 3, Elle will feature seder dinner specials including gefilte fish and roast half chicken or grilled salmon, plus other selections. Seder takeout will be available at 20 percent off regular prices at 3048 E. Broadway Blvd.; 327-0500.

Easter Dining

Hacienda del Lago, at the del Lago Golf Club in Vail, serves brunch for $34.95 per adult. The buffet includes eggs Benedict and omelets to order, a carving station, smoked salmon, salads, muffins and desserts. Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and include an Easter egg hunt for the kids plus face painting. To make a reservation and find out prices for children, call 647-3109; 14155 E. Via Rancho del Lago.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Intermezzo offers a special brunch buffet, costing $15 for adults and $7 for children 10 and younger. Price does not include tax or gratuity; 5350 E. Broadway Blvd., Suite 128. Reservations are required for parties of four or more; 748-8100.

Tequila Tasting

As a prelude to Cinco de Mayo, on three different evenings--April 4, April 19 and May 2--Zivaz will offer three different levels of tequila: añejo, reposado and blanco/silver. Tequila is classified into these three levels based on the amount of aging time after being distilled from the blue agave plant. Each night will feature a different brand: Partida, Cielo and Don Eduardo, respectively. The tasting is from 6 to 8 p.m. and is complimentary with the purchase of an entrée at 4590 E. Broadway Blvd.; 325-1234.

All You Can Eat

Derek from the UA wrote, "Growing college boys gotta eat! Can you recommend any all-you-can-eat places for sushi and other foods?" He knows about Takamatsu, Sushi Garden, I Love Sushi and Sushi Hama but is looking for more suggestions. Send your recommendations to me, and I'll publish them in a future column.
