To be considered, the amount of pizza sold must be at least 50 percent of total food sales, and the restaurants must demonstrate a genuine passion for excellence.

The President and His Turkeys

Since 1947, the National Turkey Foundation has presented the president of the United States with a live turkey and two dressed turkeys in celebration of Thanksgiving. The annual presentation has become a traditional holiday ritual in the nation's capital, providing the president an opportunity to reflect publicly on the meaning of the season of giving. After the ceremony, the live turkey retires to a historic farm to live out the rest of its years.
