Happy Hour Is King

During summer, our favorite meal of the day becomes the happy hour. Food Safety and Cleanliness Awards

The Arizona Restaurant & Hospitality Association (ARHA) Southern Chapter announced the 2004 Gold Plate Award winners for food safety and cleanliness. Criteria include current member status of ARHA, and the past four inspections must have been deemed excellent by the Pima County Health Department. The winners were El Charro Café, Biscuits Country Café, Mama Louisa's, Delectables, La Fuente, Ironwood Terrace, the Gold Room at Westward Look and On Deck Deli.


Memorial Day Fireworks

In lieu of the frequent drought-induced lack of fireworks on the Fourth of July, the Westward Look Resort will offer entertainment and a poolside barbecue from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday, May 30, with fireworks at 9 p.m. Patrons who have reservations at the restaurant or the poolside barbecue are welcome to take full advantage of the resort for swimming, nature trails, touring the Chef's Garden, panoramic views and stargazing through the high-powered telescope. Feast on burgers, jumbo hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, potato salad, watermelon, cookies, ice cream and lemonade. Bring chairs or blankets for picnic-style seating.
