Rufus Wainwright, Brooke Waggoner, Laura Veirs, Emiliana Torrini, Calexico, Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire, Squirrel Nut Zippers and Eisley have been among those taking turns in my car stereo recently. I've also been listening to lots of early jazz.

Probably Spiceworld. Ha ha.
What artist, genre or musicaltrend does everyone seem tolove, but you just don't get?
The screamo thing. I tried to get it at one point, and I never could.

Something in a major key.
What band or artistchanged your life, and how?
Unfortunately, I don't really have a particular idol like that. All the music I've been listening to lately has definitely changed me as a songwriter, though.
