Most people remember Robert Gallo as the host of heavy-metal radio show Area 51 on KLPX FM 96.1. Gallo now works as an account executive for KFMA FM 92.1. Hopefully, Tucson radio will experience the resurrection of Area 51 in the near future.

What was the first concert you ever saw?

Def Leppard and Tesla at the Tucson Convention Center in 1987.

What CDs are in your changer right now?

Shadows Fall, Threads of Life; Trivium, The Crusade; Pantera, Vulgar Display of Power; Lacuna Coil, Karmacode; Killswitch Engage, The End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies.

How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?

A couple hundred.

Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?

Sometimes. And yes, legally.

What was the first album you owned?

Iron Maiden, Powerslave.

What song would you like to have played at your funeral?

Pantera, "Cemetery Gates."

Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?

Elvis, The Beatles, Neil Diamond, some hip-hop.

What band or artist changed your life, and how?

Black Sabbath. They got me into listening to heavy music and into other heavy bands like Metallica and Pantera.

Pantera, Vulgar Display of Power.
