Robb Fountain

Nine Questions

Robb Fountain is a motorcycle officer for the UA Police Department. A four-year veteran of the UAPD, Fountain patrols the campus area, nailing speeders and stop-sign runners with $100 tickets. A warning to all sexy co-eds: Fountain's biggest pet peeve is attractive women flirting with him to get out of a ticket. "It doesn't work ... for anybody," Fountain states. "When I pull over a vehicle, I have already made up my mind on whether I'm going to issue a citation or warning."

What was the first concert you ever saw?

My first "major" concert was Rush, (their) Roll the Bones tour. It was in the early '90s at the Blockbuster Pavilion in Phoenix. I saw Dread Zeppelin just before that, here in Tucson.

What CDs are in your changer right now?

Pink Floyd, The Wall; The Ziggens; U2, Joshua Tree; and Laika and the Cosmonauts.

How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?

I probably own approximately 250 CDs and one vinyl (Van Halen).

Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?

I don't download music ... but if I did, I would do it legally.

What was the first album you owned?

The first album I owned was a compilation of various rock 'n' roll artists from the early '80s--Foreigner, Lita Ford, Tommy Tutone and all the other junior high school stoner bands. I bought it from the Record Bar at El Con Mall.

What song would you like played at your funeral?

"Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats is what I want played at my funeral.

Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?

I actually like some Shania Twain.

What band or artist changed your life, and how?

I guess Black Flag/Rollins Band changed my life, because it allowed me to increase my self-esteem, and I felt good about myself.

Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?

The Wall--I love listening to one instrument throughout a song, then do it again with another instrument.
