What was the first concert you ever saw?
Kiss. It was the Dynasty tour, and I was 9. I remember thinking that the opening band was Kiss without their makeup, and that something was horribly wrong in the world.

Hmm ... somewhere between 500 and 600, all CDs and MP3s.

Very rarely and always legally ... so far.

Barry Manilow, Live. It was a double LP with Barry chatting up the audience every few tracks. It must have driven my parents crazy that I listened to it all the time.

Beck, "We Live Again," or The Beatles, "I'm Only Sleeping."
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
It's not really a "guilty" pleasure, but I don't think anyone knows how much I love Julie Andrews.
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
Kristin Hersh of Throwing Muses. Her talent as a singer/songwriter never ceases to floor me.
