A workshop and panel discussion covers ways businesses can protect themselves from fraud, theft and property damage, from noon to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11; free. Presenters include Christian Schreiber, UA Information Security Officer, discussing Internet safety; Kara Curtis, TPD Crime Prevention and Neighborhood Watch Coordinator speaking about safety best practices; Kyle Morrison and a K9, UA Police Department, demonstrating how dogs are used for solving crimes and assisting in crime prevention; and Michael Boreale, attorney, discusses workplace safety, terminations, workplace violence, liability issues and how employers can protect themselves.
