A workshop featuring basic instruction on mindfulness meditation practice, sitting, posture, benefits and resources for further practice takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17. $20 suggested donation, but no one will be turned away. A five-week class in the practice takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, from Sept. 20 through Oct. 18; and from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22. $85 to $100 suggested donation; scholarships available.
