John Corigliano and Toru Takemitsu Fesival: Music and Film

The music portion of the event begins with a presentation titled "Does American Culture Have a Future?" at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 22, at the UA School of Music (1017 N. Olive Road). Free. A symposium covering various aspects of the event takes place at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 23; followed by a chamber-music recital in Holsclaw Hall at 4 p.m.; and an ensemble concert featuring the Arizona Symphony Orchestra and the Arizona Contemporary Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. Guitarist David Tanenbaum performs at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 24; followed by a chamber-music recital with Mark Rush and John Milbauer at 4 p.m. All concerts take place at the UA School of Music. $10 per concert; or $5 for students.
