Intersex: Medical, Cultural and Historical Contexts

A two-day symposium explores intersex - the condition of having ambiguous genitalia - from interdisciplinary perspectives drawn from the medical humanities, medicine, anthropology and patient advocacy, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Catalina Room of the UA Student Union, 1303 E. University Blvd.; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, in room 100 of the Department of Gender and Women's Studies, 925 N. Tyndall Ave.; free.
