Hippie Celebration

Beverly Seckinger has spent years taking an extra look at how hippie values transformed their lives, the people around them and in many cases the communities they lived and worked. On Sunday, April 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hut, 305 Fourth Ave., Seckinger will host a Hippie Family Values Indiegogo launch party to help raise funds for her "Hippie Family Values" documentary. Music offerings from the Wayback Machine (of which Seckinger is a member), Top Dead Center, Mitzi Cowell Band, and Planet Jam. A crew of Seckinger's UA film students will be there to interview anyone who wants to talk about their own hippie values. She needs to raise $20,000 to 25,000 for the first phase of editing. $10 at the door. For more information, go to the event's Facebook page.
