Gigs and Props

A few things worth mentioning ...

· Ya wanna be a part of The Weekly? Well, here's your chance. We're looking for a freelance restaurant reviewer, a freelance columnist and a part-time City Week editor.

For more details, check out the advertisement on Page 29 of the print edition.

· Ya wanna be a part of The Weekly without actually writing or working for us? We're putting together a readers' advisory group to give us thoughts on what we're doing, and how we're doing it. Our goal is to make The Weekly the most kick-ass weekly in the country, and reader feedback is important. If you want to volunteer, go to Page 42 in the print edition and fill out the handy little form, then get it to us.

· Finally, someone who's already part of The Weekly got some big-time kudos last week. James Reel, The Weekly's arts editor, was honored by UA Alumni Association. He, along with four others, was given the Bear Down Award, for "performing noteworthy and meritorious service on behalf of the University of Arizona."

The folks at the UA noted, "The University of Arizona Alumni Association and the College of Fine Arts are delighted to present James Reel with the Bear Down Award in recognition of his unwavering loyalty to the University of Arizona School of Music and Dance."

Hmm. Have they read all of his reviews?

In any case, congrats to James. It's a well-deserved honor.
