Exploded View Microcinema and ArtSpace

Filmmaker and curator Rick Bahto is present for a program about the intersection of film and music-from pop to experimental, and noise to hip-hop. The program draws on works in 8mm, 16mm made by artists-in-residence and students at a sister microcinema, the Echo Park Film Center in Los Angeles. Sat., March 1, 7:30 p.m. Nick Georgiou’s 6A, an experimental time-lapse video project, tells the story of a paper sculptor and his relationship to the cities he works in (Tucson/NYC). Remembrance of Things to Come is the last work by master film essayist Chris Marker and a portrait of surrealist photographer Denise Bellon. Wed., March 5, 7:30 p.m.
