The ConfluenceCenter for Creative Inquiry hosts Everyday Poems, Everyday Songs, a program featuring the evolution of the American poetic voice and the role of poetry in our lives, at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 26; free. The program includes baritone Seth Kershisnik performing songs from an all-American song cycle, Another Reason I Don't Keep a Gun in the House, and readings of the work of former U.S. poet laureate Billy Collins.
