Some things worth knowing this week:

• I apologize for the fact that our blog and our online Best of Tucson™ ballot have been down for the better part of a week, as of this writing. They should be restored to all their functional glory by the time you read this. If they're not, please send liquor.

Long story short, the blog, the ballot and all sorts of other stuff were on a virtual server that ran out of memory, and therefore, everything needed to be migrated to a new server. There was also a delay that had something to do with passwords. Or something. I think. All I know for sure is that the damn things haven't been working.

In any case, thanks to corporate Web dudes Pete and Christian for all their hard work to fix things. And thanks to you, the Weekly reader, for your patience during the downtime.

• I'd like to offer my personal congratulations to the nine Weekly scribes and the approximately 3,793 other Arizona journalists who took home at least one 2007 Arizona Press Club award last weekend. You can read all about our healthy awards haul in this issue. Congratulatory gifts are not necessary; however, if you insist, please send liquor.

• Oh, and by the way, if you haven't yet cast your vote in Round 1 the Tucson Area Music Awards (TAMMIES) polling yet, you'd better do so soon. We need to receive your newsprint ballots here at Weekly World Central by Wednesday, May 21. Late ballots will not be counted, and late voters will be subject to public humiliation. So there.
