Discover the Horse That Discovered America
The Barb horse of the Spanish Colonial era carried explorers, missionaries and, eventually, Native Americans throughout Mexico and the Southwest. The Amerind Foundation explores the animal's influence in a day of demonstrations and presentations by Apache historian Dale Curtis Miles, a representative of the Father Kino Society, and Silke Schneider, author of Arizona's Spanish Barb.
