Dillinger Days

Guests are encouraged to wear period clothing for a weekend look back at 1934, when a fire at Hotel Congress set in motion events that would lead to the capture of John Dillinger. Activities start with a speakeasy featuring whiskey, cigars, 1930s memorabilia and music by Kings of Pleasure at 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 24; $20 includes a donation to the Greater Tucson Fire Foundation. A free family event from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, includes arts and crafts, carnival games, lectures, live music, a vintage car show, old-time radio programming, a walking tour, a courtroom reenactment, a fashion expo, a turn-of-the-century magic show, and a Dillinger reenactment; free.
