They’ve got to be doing something right at this Fourth Avenue stalwart. This hip café has been around for 40 years and its popularity hasn’t faded thanks to fresh salads with homemade dressing, hearty soups and sandwiches (we loved the French dip) and entrées that are both retro and modern. The pasta dishes are well executed, too. And the desserts, made in house, are outstanding. (12-19-13)
