Start-Up Tucson kicks off entrepreneurial weekend

Have an idea for a business that you can't stop thinking about and maybe your friends are kinda tired of hearing about over and over and over again? Well, take heart. There's a place for you entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs. This weekend, Startup Tucson offers 54 hours of intense thinking and practical testing of ideas so you can find out if your business plan is viable. The experience kicks off on Friday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. with open mic pitches when participants bring their best ideas aiming to inspire others to join their team. On Saturday and Sunday, those teams focus on customer development, validating ideas and building a viable product. On Sunday, Sept. 14, teams demo their prototypes and receive feedback from experts. All this goes down at CoLab Workspace, 17 E. Pennington St. To register and more info, visit startuptucson.com.
