City High and VOICES Celebrate Cele Peterson
City High School and VOICES, both located in the building that once housed Cele Peterson's iconic downtown store, honor what would have been her 102nd birthday this month with a tea and panel discussion from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, March 10. Free. Students interviewed and photographed Peterson's former employees to learn about downtown department-store history and to create posters to display at the event. Displays in the building's windows through Thursday, March 31, depict fashions from the era when downtown Tucson was a retail hub.
