The Mad Science Show on Thursday features the zany guys from Mad Science, who will deliver a fun science show and might even teach the kids a lesson or two. The event, from 11 a.m. to noon, is free.
On Saturday, check out acoustic rock and roll guitarist Gus Brett, whose style has been described as gritty, positive and spiritual. (Friends say he reminds them of Dylan and plays like Reed.) Brett plays in a free concert from noon to 2 p.m.

Danes on the Move, Tomorrow's Seating Today is a traveling exhibition of 17 sleek chairs. After a March 10 opening in New York, a writer from the Washington Post wrote, "Now a small exhibition of astonishingly artful chairs suggests a fresh wave of creativity (that) deserves rapt attention."

Folklore, Myths and Legends is a moderated one-hour hike in Sabino Canyon that will reveal that some desert myths are rooted in fact, while other tall tales pale in comparison to the often-bizarre truth.
Bring plenty of water, a hat and sunblock. A notepad (for keeping the record straight), camera and walking stick are optional.
