Candy Bomber Helps Out Santa

The Candy Bomber of the humanitarian Berlin Airlift, Col. Gail S. Halvorsen, Ret., joins Santa Claus to greet families at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 14; $15.50, $12.25 for Pima County residents; $9 for youth ages 7 through 12, free for younger children, includes access to all museum attractions. The first 1,500 children receive a jingle-bell ornament. Activities include holiday craft-making; storytime readings of Mercedes and the Chocolate Pilot, which is set in the Berlin Airlift; a scavenger hunt; a petting zoo; and holiday-themed temporary tattoos. Breakfast is for sale at a buffet that opens at 8:30 a.m.
