Birthday Blues (Clarification)

My family moved to Tucson in 1962 and Bill graduated from the U of A in 1972. In the early 1970's Bill & I lived on the corner of 4th Ave & 4th Street. What a great time In Tucson! We worked at the original Gentle Bens on Tyndall & I worked at Merlins on 4th Ave. We love Tucson, downtown and 4th Ave. We have also owned four businesses in Tucson. I was interviewed by telephone recently (the interviewer having never been in the place) about how things were going at the Boondocks. She was a lovely sounding girl and doing her job (I'm sure under time restraints) but I feel there was a negative (unintentional) slant to the article.

We celebrated 20 years at the Boondocks in March and yes, it's tough sometimes and yes, we struggle, especially in the summer like most businesses do and yes, every place is for sale if the situation works out foreverybody. We feel a dedication to our employees, the musicians and our customers and want them to know we aren't on the verge of closing!
