Boing! Boing! Boing! One drink with tapioca balls will offer you at least a half-hour of joyful entertainment. Order a drink or a snow with tapioca, and marvel at the translucent black balls with a sexy succulent bouncy texture, each about the size of a small marble. You'll get an extra fat straw to slurp them up with--and while it's tempting to use the straw to shoot them across the dining room at strangers ... don't. It's more fun to eat them. One favorite is the taro snow: Its lovely pale lavender color looks stylish with all the big black polka dots, and its earthy tropical flavor is about as far away from the desert as you can get. Beware of brain freeze.
