Back in the day when Cyndi Lauper was just having fun, and being vegetarian was considered more weird and inconvenient than healthy, most veggie-lovers would have killed for a good v-burger. The problem with Lovin' Spoonfuls is they have four great burgers on their all-veggie menu (five if you include the portobello griller). Starting with the classic burger—a soy patty served with the usual toppings on a whole-wheat bun—they expand to the Southwest burger, which adds guacamole and salsa. The soy-fest concludes with the Route 66 bacon cheeseburger—all vegan, of course. If soy is not your thing, you can indulge in the homemade adzuki burger, which also contains mushrooms, zucchini and carrots. Where's the beef? Not here.
