If you can get a dozen tortillas home from St. Mary's intact, you're a stronger soul than most. Warm and fresh, steaming up their wrappers, these locally famous thin round slabs tempt from the passenger-side seat, calling out to stuff a few in our tortilla-hole at the stoplight. What makes one tortilla better than another? Perhaps it's something long-remembered and passed down to the various tortilla-makers?
